REVIEW: Extra-Meaningful Heart Lock and Key Couple Necklace Set From Temu

My man and I are really digging the new couple necklaces I bought for us, so I thought I'd review them here. We really love the fact that they are a lock and key necklace pair where the lock and key actually work, so that my man's key really opens my heart lock.

We also like that the necklaces are made of stainless steel, and actually look quite nice.

 

My man's only gripe with this lock and key necklace pair is that the key and chain that come with his necklace are kind of small, making them feel a little less masculine than they could be. He wishes that his key was as big as my heart lock, and that his chain was as long as my chain. To us, it would have made more sense to have made the more-feminine heart lock necklace smaller and daintier. But we thought about it, and we realized that it would probably look funny to have a long chain with a small key, and that the key has to be small enough to fit the lock, so we supposed that the design made sense, for what it needed to do.

Ironically, I've seen reviews where girls mention the heart being too big, or the lock being too heavy. I don't find that to be the case, and am fine with the size of my lock pendant, and length of my chain. I suppose that if you have a shorter torso than mine, or prefer daintier jewelry, that they could feel a bit large. I have also never been bothered by the weight of the necklace, but I've worn bigger and heavier necklaces before, so you could say that I'm used to wearing heavier jewelry. I think that it's just a matter of wearing it a few times to get your body used to it, if it isn't already accustomed to wearing jewelry with weight to it. My man and I like that the symbols and symbolic meanings of the necklaces are very obvious, and that the necklaces feature a legit lock and key, rather than them just being for show. We think that this is way cooler and better than couple necklace sets that feature keys fitting into key cut-outs in the heart, or keys that don't actually open anything. 

I also like how the couple necklaces are made of shiny and smooth, polished 304 stainless steel (one of the best grades of steel for jewelry), since it both looks nice and doesn't cause an allergic reaction to our skin. The necklaces also feel like they are very good-quality -- they don't look or feel cheap at all, even though they are ultra-inexpensive.

My man and I both get rashes if we wear low-quality metals against our skin, so I have to be really careful about picking out cheap jewelry and accessories for us, to ensure that they're made of steel, or plated with silver or gold. We've been wearing the necklaces almost every day since I got them, and haven't experienced any skin problems. 

To me, the lock and key symbolize how only my man has the key to me and my heart, and how only he can unlock me and see and experience me. I knew that he understood that as soon as I showed him the set, and gave him the key necklace, because he and I put our necklaces on right away, and continued to wear them in the days that followed. I've given him other necklaces before this that he wears sometimes, but this necklace is different, because of the strength of its symbolic significance. That's why I thought that it was worth reviewing on its own, and focusing a whole review on.

This lock and key necklace set for couples adds an extra-special touch, in that the lock and key set actually work -- setting it apart from other sets, where the lock and key are just for show, which, while they are good for their symbolic meaning, are simply not the same. With this couple necklace set, the key really opens the heart lock, bringing real meaning to the saying, "You have the key to my heart." 

 

I actually feel that it's better as a gift for a woman to give to her man, with her wearing the heart, and her giving her man the key, since it sends the message that only her man has access to her and her heart. I think that it's kind of weird if the woman has the key and the man has the heart. If you feel otherwise and want to wear it the other way around, then you can go ahead and do that, I guess. I would think that the girl is more associated with the heart, and would look better wearing the heart, than the other way around, but there's nothing indicating who is supposed to wear what. If a guy gave the necklace to a girl, then some girls might like it, but feminist or "independent" women might not appreciate it, since they didn't choose to give the key themselves. If my man had given me the heart necklace, I would have understood the meaning and significance, and loved the set and the idea behind it, but I guess that it really depends on your relationship and your partner, and at what stage of your relationship you are in, and how you and your partner view your relationship, how these couple necklaces would be perceived and received.

 

If you are in a relationship where the woman has truly given her heart to her man, as I have done with mine, then this couple necklaces set is the perfect symbol for that, and a terrific representation of that.

 

We also appreciate the very high-quality 304 steel that the necklaces are made of.

 

The necklace is a bit weird, in that the lock is much larger, and comes with a much longer chain, than the key, since it makes more sense that the girl would get the smaller and daintier piece of jewelry. However, it's kind of impossible to have a larger key than a lock, and would also look silly to have a large chain with a small pendant, so, while my man would prefer the key to be bigger and have a longer chain, we understand why this couple jewelry set is designed the way that it is, and why this needs to be the case, but can't give this couple necklace set a higher rating because of this.

 

For the price that we found this couple necklace set for, this is a steal of a deal, and a great gift idea, that definitely looks and is worth more than the price that it's selling for. It's definitely one of the best couple jewelry sets -- and couple necklace designs -- that I've ever seen.

Couple jewelry is something that I've been really into since my man discovered and brought it to my attention, after finding some really cool, nice, and affordable pieces on Temu. This set stuck out in particular, because, while I've given my man a couple keychain with a key that fit like a puzzle piece into a corresponding heart, this couple necklace set is next-level, in featuring a real key and lock.

If you and your partner are the real deal, then you'll value the extra level of authenticity to the lock and key.
