Whether or not you bake or cook, double sided stainless steel measuring spoons are a good option, because they are safer than going with plastic options -- even those that are termed "food grade" and "food safe," but could still contain chemicals that could leach into your food and drinks, that the FDA sometimes labels as "safe," but that you could later find out aren't actually safe. That's why my man and I prefer to use non-coated stainless steel cooking utensils, non-toxic stainless steel bakeware, and stainless steel cookware whenever possible, especially in cases where heat might be involved, which acts as a catalyst for chemical leaching from plastic.
I was thus excited to spot a two-ended magnetic measuring spoon set with leveler tool on Temu, that had the benefits of being stainless steel, stackable, and magnetic, as well as being double-ended, with two spoons of each measurement, with two different shapes, to allow one to distinguish the different ends, while also coming with a leveling tool. See the start of this magnetic measuring spoons review for an image demonstrating the stackable and magnetically-held nature of the dual sided measuring spoons in this set, and below for more images of the stainless steel magnetic measuring spoons, including an image of the nine piece magnetic measuring spoon set stacked, and images of the nine piece magnetic measuring spoons, with the measuring spoon set sizes displayed, all taken from the Temu product page.

The many benefits of magnetic measuring spoons, all in one dual-ended magnetic measuring spoon set with leveler tool, makes these double ended measuring spoons a value-packed investment.
Dual Ended Magnetic Measuring Spoon Advantages and Disadvantages
Space Saving Measuring Spoons
The stackable design of these magnetic stacking measuring spoons makes them space-saving, and the magnetic nature keeps the spoons together when not in use, to make the space-saving even more effective.
Colored Magnetic Measuring Spoon Set vs Black Magnetic Measuring Spoon Set Options
These stackable magnetic measuring spoons are made of strong, good-quality stainless steel, are clearly marked with measurements, and can be bought in a set of assorted colors, for easier identification, although there is also a black option, for people who prefer a less colorful assortment of double sided metal measuring spoons.
Colored Magnetic Measuring Spoons Advantages
I personally prefer and recommend the double ended measuring spoons with a color center, because an advantage of getting the colored magnetic measuring spoon set is that having each magnetic measuring spoon have a unique color makes the different measurements easy to identify.
My man likes the magnetic measuring spoons colored, because he remembers the sizes and measurements of the measuring spoons based on their color. Instead of trying to look for each measurement using the labels, he just looks at the magnetic measuring spoons' colors, for the particular color of the measurement that he wants to use.
The colors on these double ended measuring spoons with a color center are also bright and attractive, with the magnetic measuring spoons coloring including mostly bright shades of red, blue, green, pink, yellow, purple, orange, and brown.
Black Magnetic Measuring Spoons Advantages
An advantage of the black magnetic measuring spoon set, where all the spoon centers are black, is that the spoons might more easily match the color schemes of kitchens or kitchen accessories, and might also be considered "classier-looking."
I think it's good that both options are provided, for those who prefer colored magnetic measuring spoons, and those who prefer black magnetic measuring spoons.
More Measuring Spoon Measurements
I like that the double sided measuring spoon set has a bigger variety of spoon sizes and measurements than many other measuring spoon sets, including the measuring teaspoon sizes of 1/3 teaspoon (tsp), ¾ tsp, and 1/16 tsp measurements (which I haven't found in most measuring spoon sets), while also including the standard measuring spoon sizes of 1/8 tsp, ¼ tsp, ½ tsp, 1 tsp, ½ tablespoon (tbsp), and 1 tbsp measurements. Without the 1/3 tsp measuring spoon and 3/4 tsp measuring spoon options, it takes more work and time to measure out those measurements, and I only used to be able to approximate 1/3 of a teaspoon measurements when I didn't have a spoon in my other measuring spoon sets that measured this amount -- having to fill my 1/4 tsp measuring spoon to overflowing, and hope that it was close enough to 1/3 of a teaspoon, without having any way of knowing how accurate my measurement actually was. The 1/16 tsp measuring spoon also makes it possible to measure "a pinch" (a small, indefinite amount of a dry ingredient, traditionally defined as the amount held between the thumb and forefinger) more accurately, for cooking and baking.
While having just the most common measuring spoon sizes in a measuring spoon set is doable, having the other, rarer sizes that are included in this set makes measuring ingredients much easier, more accurate, and more convenient.
See below for images of the measuring spoon measurements, showing the measuring spoon sizes and names, and measuring spoon sizes in order, and an image showing the magnetic nature of the magnetic measuring spoon set, taken from the Temu product page.

Multiple Measuring Spoons Uses and Functions
As I mentioned, even if you don't cook, metal measuring spoons can be handy. While a measuring spoon used in baking is particularly important -- essential for maintaining recipe consistency, with precise proportions of leavening agents (like baking soda or baking powder), spices, herbs, and extracts critical for chemical reactions and flavor balance -- measuring spoons can be useful for many other purposes.
In addition to measuring spoon uses in the kitchen, there are a lot of other measuring spoon functions and uses. For example, I bought a colored magnetic measuring spoon set for my man to use, and it allows him to measure out the herbs and nutritional supplements that he takes, instead of just eyeballing the amounts, which was what he used to do before I got him his own magnetic measuring spoon set, since he hadn't had measuring spoons of his own before that.
I can't eyeball amounts at all, so stainless steel measuring spoons are particularly important for me to use for measuring herbs and powders that I use to make teas and remedies for colds and flus, etc., with, as well as for my parasite cleansing regimens, and for making my own makeup and other beauty-related recipes with.
Two Ended Spoon Advantages and Disadvantages
My man and I love the double ended magnetic measuring spoons, because we love having two of each measurement for every spoon, so that we can use the magnetic measuring spoons on different food items. One end of the double ended measuring spoons is meant to be used for liquid measurements, and the other end is meant to be used for dry measurements, to keep the dry ingredients dry, and it works well for that. As someone who used to bake and cook a lot, I do have to say that this only works if you use the dry end of the double ended magnetic measuring spoons first, and then switch to using the liquid end after you have measured out all the dry ingredients that you need to measure with the other end, because if you try to scoop the dry stuff after using the liquid end of the dual sided measuring spoons without licking the liquid end first, then the liquid in the spoon will probably drip into your dry ingredients.
I thus sometimes still have to use other measuring spoons to measure my liquids, like runny oils and syrups, separately, if I am making more than one recipe. This generally isn't a problem if I'm making just one recipe, and measure out all my dry ingredients before moving on to my liquid ingredients.
The Adventurer's way around that is to use a tissue to wipe the liquid off before using the other end to scoop dry ingredients, if there is not a lot of residue on the spoon. If there's a lot of liquid in the spoon, then he might lick it off first -- but only if what he is using the spoon to scoop is specifically for him, and will not be used by anyone else.
Round vs Oval Measuring Spoons
The dual-ended magnetic measuring spoon set with leveler tool comes with two different measuring spoon shapes -- with one end coming in an oblong, oval shape and the other coming in a round shape. Oblong measuring spoons and oval shaped measuring spoons have the benefit of being narrower in shape, which allows them to fit into small or bottle-necked spice jar containers more easily, which allows them to directly scoop ingredients out of most spice containers. This saves you from needing to shake the spice into your measuring spoon (preventing messes and wasted ingredients that could result from having to do so), or from needing to use a smaller spoon to scoop the contents into your larger measuring spoon. Oval metal measuring spoons are also effective for measuring ingredients that don't pack perfectly into a round scoop shape, such as minced garlic.
While round measuring spoons are often too wide to access ingredients in containers with narrow openings, round measuring spoons have the benefit of having a better liquid measuring spoon shape, as they are easier to scrape and empty ingredients like honey out of, and leave a lot less of a liquid ingredient in their bowls, as their lack of corners allows sticky ingredients like batter or honey to slide out cleanly, and be wiped with a sponge or spatula, without residue getting trapped in corners -- which also makes them easier to clean. They also allow for better liquid measurement, with their circular shape holding liquids securely, preventing spills when measuring items like oil or vanilla extract. Round measuring spoons also allow for more even distribution when scooping spices, as their round bowls tend to gather an even distribution of ingredients, and shake off the excess more effectively than rectangular or oblong measuring spoons.
These two sided magnetic measuring spoons save you from needing to question whether you should choose a round versus oval measuring spoon set, and saves you from needing to buy a separate oval measuring spoon set and separate round measuring spoon set, by putting both oval metal measuring spoons and round metal measuring spoons into one metal measuring spoons set.
See the photos below for an example of the round end of one of the dual ended magnetic measuring spoons being used to measure a liquid, and an example of the oval end of one of the magnetic measuring spoons being used to measure a dry ingredient, taken from the Temu product page.

Measuring Spoon Set With Leveler Advantages and Disadvantages
This magnetic measuring spoon set also comes with a handy leveler (a flat piece of metal that you can use to push off any excess flour or dry ingredient that you are measuring, to allow you to measure more exact amounts). Usually, I just brush my measuring spoon against the bag or container that I am using it to scoop from, and don't actually use the leveler at all, but that's because I'm lazy, and can't be bothered to dig out the leveler. While I don't think that the leveler is vital, it's good to have, and I can see the value of having a two-sided magnetic measuring spoon set with leveler tool, since I normally use the non-cutting end of a knife as a leveler when I level ingredients in my measuring cups, and having an item dedicated to that, that I can use if I can't find the knife that I like to use for leveling, is nice. Another great thing about having a dual-ended magnetic measuring spoon set with leveler tool is that the leveler is also magnetic, allowing it to attach to the set when being stored, and thus also easy to locate. It can, however, get in the way of getting at the measuring spoons below it, when you're not using it.
Dual Purpose Leveler Tool
The dual purpose leveler in the magnetic measuring spoons set serves as both a leveler, and a measuring tool. There are measurements engraved into the leveler, that allow the leveler to function as a measuring guide for items like dough. The leveler features 2-inches of measurement markings that allow it to be used to quickly measure the dimensions of food items without needing a separate ruler, allowing users to check the size of rolled cookies or energy bites, and ensure consistent and accurate sizes of small raw and baked goods. It can also be used to check the heights of cake layers, to ensure a consistent height for each cake layer. Having these measurements on a tool that is already used for leveling also minimizes the need to use additional measuring devices in the kitchen. The fact that it only measures up to two inches, however, limits its use as a ruler, as it can not be used to measure the diameters of larger food items, like tortilla bread.
See below for a photo of the leveler, and a close-up of the measuring marks on the dual purpose leveler.

Disadvantages of Magnetic Measuring Spoons
Easy to Deform Metal Spoons
One of the only gripes that my man and I have about the heavy duty stainless steel measuring spoons is that they can be prone to bending, if you are too rough with them. I speak from experience, because I've already bent some of my metal measuring spoons out of shape, from using them to try to scoop out measured amounts of hardened onion powder, that had turned almost rock-hard, and that I'd needed to chip away at to be able to use.
See below for examples of my bent double sided metal measuring spoons, that I bent back the other way, but could not get to return to their original shapes: a bent 1/2 tbsp double ended measuring spoon, scoop side up; the same bent 1/2 tbsp two sided measuring spoon, bottom side up, and a bent 1/4 tsp double sided measuring spoon, scoop side up.

My man already suspected that the magnetic measuring spoons might bend, and so has been gentler with his magnetic measuring spoon set, and so hasn't distorted the shape of his double sided metal measuring spoons, like I have. While my double sided metal measuring spoons aren't perfectly straight anymore, I can say that it is at least possible to bend the metal double sided measuring spoons back the other way, to at least somewhat correct their shape, if you do happen to bend any of them. I think that this is still better than using plastic measuring spoons, some of which I have broken on some of the harder things that I have had to scoop, such as coconut oil, because they couldn't handle the pressure of having to scoop out such hard things, and snapped.
More Work to Pry Apart Magnetic Measuring Spoons
For me, I also find it a bit annoying that the dual sided measuring spoons are magnetic, because it takes a bit of extra work to pull them apart and take one out to use. The magnets are pretty strong, and I'm lazy, so, in some ways, I'd prefer to not have to wrestle the spoons out from the rest of the set each time I want to use them, though I understand the advantage of the magnetic nature of the double sided stainless steel measuring spoons, in keeping the set together when I'm not using the magnetic measuring spoons.
Fading Measurement Labels
Another thing I noticed is that the writing indicating the measurements of the spoons can fade, probably from washing, as this is starting to happen with my 1 tsp measuring spoon. I even saw it mentioned in a review that someone who regularly washed the spoons using a dishwasher found that the measuring spoon sizes and names can come off over time, to the point where they they can almost no longer be used to identify which spoon measures which amount. To minimize this effect, I would recommend handwashing the spoons.
For measuring spoons with faded or fading labels, my man thinks that maybe paper labels can be added to the spoons, with tape placed over them to secure them in place, although he does think that these makeshift labels would need to be replaced, if they end up peeling off.
See below for a photo showing the "tsp" wording on my 1 tsp magnetic measuring spoon starting to fade away.

Added Weight From Heavy Metal Measuring Spoons
I suppose that another advantage and/or disadvantage of the metal double sided measuring spoons is their weight. These heavy stainless steel spoons are heavier than plastic measuring spoons, which can add weight, which may make them more difficult to transport or travel with.
However, I think that the weight of the double sided magnetic measuring spoons is generally a good thing, as it can help keep the heavy metal spoons on whatever you are placing them on after you use them, rather than falling off, and the magnetism also allows the magnetic measuring spoons to stick to metal plates, holding the magnetic double sided measuring spoons in place more securely.
I really like double sided metal measuring spoons for their multiple benefits, which I think definitely outweigh their disadvantages.

If you want a super-versatile set of measuring spoons, then I think that this is one of the best measuring spoon sets that you can buy, although it's pricey, compared to plastic measuring spoon sets that are not magnetic, that are also available. I don't know if it's the best metal measuring spoon set, or the best stainless steel measuring spoon set, but, because of its magnetic component, it does make it a cut above regular heavy duty stainless steel measuring spoons.
