REVIEW: Cute But Crummy Six Pack Cotton Love You Panties For Women From Temu

I liked the idea of getting I LOVE YOU panties when I saw them available for sale on Temu. I thought that the fact that they had the words "LOVE YOU" in capital letters, repeated on the band of the underwear, made them something that I could show my man on an everyday basis, to express my love for him in that small way. I wanted a cotton thong pack cute enough for my man to be able to enjoy, that I would also be able to wear daily, and the design looked like the cutest out of the cotton panties Temu had to offer. The exact panty pack that I bought is no longer available for purchase on Temu, but I did see the exact same design available from other sellers, so I have taken a mish-mash of photos from their product pages to post here, above and below, to give you an idea of what the LOVE YOU underwear looked like in the advertised photos of the cotton panty pack that I bought. I actually would have preferred to buy something sexier-looking -- ideally, a cotton g string pack -- but the fact that I was looking specifically for a cotton underwear pack for women really limited my options, since all the sexy styles of panties on Temu for women were only available in polyester and other man-made materials. 

You can read more about why polyester is really bad for you, and why I try to stick to buying Temu cotton clothes, when I do buy any article of clothing on Temu, in my Gem or Junk first post, discussing my experiences with buying Temu buttlifting pants. 

I had actually been looking for 100% cotton panties for women on Temu, but found them very difficult to find, since good elasticity is such an important factor when it comes to underwear. I've actually owned underwear that has become so loose over time, that I have felt it literally slipping down to the point where I worry that it would fall off completely, so I understood that it might be necessary to get panties made with a cotton blend, to ensure proper stretchiness and elasticity in the panty waistband.

Consequently, although the LOVE YOU panties 
were advertised as being 95% cotton and 5% elastane, I decided to give them a try anyway. I thought that getting 95% cotton Temu panties was better than going with any of the non-cotton panty options available on Temu.

 

As the article Plastic-Free Activewear: Why Elastane Is Still Used (And Safer Options) says, "Conventional elastane is made with harsh chemicals, isn't biodegradable, and sheds microplastics... every time it's worn, washed, or thrown away," and "Just 2% elastane in a cotton blend can cause significant microfiber shedding in laundry." As well, it says that, "For sensitive skin, elastane can be a problem," usually due to the chemicals used to make the fibre. It describes how residues can remain in the fabric and trigger reactions, from mild itching and redness, to swelling and blistering; with flare-ups more common with tight-fitting pieces, like leggings, sports bras, or waistbands that sit close to the skin. The article also says that some studies also suggest that elastane chemicals may disrupt the skin's microbiome (e.g. isocyanates can reduce healthy skin bacteria and increase harmful strains like Staphylococcus aureus).

 

This is why my man and I try our best to stick to buying 100% cotton clothes when we can, and usually try to stay away from even items with 2 or 5% elastane, when we can.

 

Of the I LOVE YOU panties available on Temu, this set of cotton LOVE YOU panties for women was the best that I could find, at the time, because one of the I LOVE YOU underwear sets I found had a typo on it, where there was no space between the "ILOVE" part of the phrase, which made it look dumb. My man and I both don't appreciate typos, and the only other options of LOVE underwear for women were LOVE cotton panties that repeated the word "LOVE" on the band, or love cotton underwear that said LOVE <3 LOVE on the band, which I didn't think would have the same effect as the cotton LOVE YOU panties showing the words LOVE YOU might have on my man. Plus, I found these cotton LOVE YOU panties on sale when I bought them, cinching the deal for me. 

When I later asked my man about the LOVE YOU panties that I had bought, he told me that, actually, the only thing that he liked about them was the fact that they said "LOVE YOU" on them, as well as the fact that they at least weren't granny-style underwear. 
  
To be honest, none of the ladies cotton panties on Temu look that good, so getting a cotton thongs pack is probably your best bet, out of the cotton Temu underwear women have available to choose from, if you care about whether or not your man will like your underwear. Temu is more a place for where to buy cheap cotton underwear, than it is for where to buy cute cotton underwear, or where to buy good cotton underwear. 

But that's also part of the trade-off when buying cotton vs polyester underwear for women, since the cotton styles tend to look very plain and dull, and not very sexy. My man and I recognize that, and don't like it, but think that the risks of wearing underwear made from synthetic materials really aren't worth it, at least for my man and I, and especially in terms of something worn so close to your intimates, like underwear. 

As the article Cotton vs Polyester Underwear: What's Better For Comfort And Breathability? says, "But here's where things get real: the health stakes. Those 'mainstream' synthetic cousins are hotbeds for harsh chemicals, microplastics, and all the greatest hits: formaldehyde, PFAs, phthalates, azo dyes, BPA, you name it. These nasties can mess with your hormones, jack up the chances of irritation or rashes, and even have you questioning your future fertility ... When it comes to cotton vs polyester underwear, there's only one real winner if you care about your bits. Polyester and other entirely synthetic undies promise a high-tech experience, but what do you get? A cocktail of harsh chemicals, plastics, and hormone-disrupting toxins up close and personal with the most sensitive real estate you own. Yikes."

 

While the article is geared toward men, I think that women should take the issue of what they put against their most private parts just as seriously as men, which is why my man and I choose to go with cotton underwear options, when we can. 

The Temu thongs looked okay when they arrived. Their colors for the most part matched those in the advertised photos of the LOVE YOU panties, although I think that the shade of green of the green panty that I received did not match the one advertised -- although it's hard to tell, since the panty in my order thumbnail is so small. I could feel that they were not 100% cotton panties after wearing one pair of the panties for just a few minutes, however, because I started feeling a little itchy after I put them on. This made me worried that the LOVE YOU panties weren't made of cotton at all, but the itchiness went away after I wore them for more extended periods of time, so I attributed the itchiness that I'd experienced to the elastane in the panty material. The label for each of the LOVE YOU panties said 95% cotton, 5% spandex on the label, instead of 5% elastane, but I looked up if elastane and spandex are the same thing, and they are, so it wasn't inaccurate for them to say that they were made of 5% "elastane" in the ad. 

What was inaccurate about the product description, however, was that the panties were advertised as cotton seamless panties, when they were not, as they clearly had a waistband that was sewn on separately from the rest of the panty, that made it deceptive to call them a seamless cotton panties pack. As such, if you're looking for cotton thongs seamless enough to not show through your clothing, then I don't think that you should expect that from these ones.

 

While I certainly didn't expect the best women's cotton panties from Temu, the quality of the women's cotton LOVE YOU panties that I did receive was way worse than I expected. I actually looked through a lot of cotton underwear reviews on Temu, including 
six pack panties Temu reviews, thong reviews with pictures, and, specifically, LOVE YOU panties reviewed by actual buyers of the set that I ordered -- and the LOVE YOU panties set that I ended up choosing looked like it had some of the best LOVE YOU panties reviews, and cotton panties reviews in general, of the sets that I looked at. 

So I expected the 6 pack panties to last, and was surprised when, after wearing them for only maybe two or three times, one of the LOVE YOU panties developed a hole, that my man pointed out to me. As well, my examination of the LOVE YOU panties after several months of wear has shown me that the elastic waistbands for many of the Temu cotton panties have already started deforming, and the stitching for some of the sections has become loose -- with the stitching on one of the LOVE YOU thongs even coming undone, so that a part of it has become detached on the side of one of the Temu thongs. One of the other LOVE YOU panties also developed a rip on the side.

 

See below for examples of the holes, rips, deformed waistbands, and loose threads evident in all of the panties that I wore from my 6 pack cotton thong set (minus the red thong that I didn't wear yet):

 

The fact that I hadn't even worn the LOVE YOU underwear that many times, and they were already showing signs of falling apart showed how poor they were in quality. I have several Victoria's Secret thongs (albeit not made of cotton) that I've owned for more than ten years, that I bought for a pretty good deal at a Victoria's Secret underwear sale, that are still in good condition -- so I went from surprised to appalled when I saw how bad a shape these Temu thongs got after just a few months of wear. The return on investment that I got even paying the still-a-bit-pricey-for-me Victoria's Secret underwear price I got them for when they were on sale was still better than the few months of wear that I'll likely be getting from my cheap cotton underwear from Temu.

 

I'm really annoyed that I wasn't allowed to get at least a partial refund for the LOVE YOU panties when I requested one, because, though I was okay with not being giving some sort of refund at first (when it was only one panty that had a hole in it, such that I thought that I still had five more LOVE YOU panties that were still okay), the fact that all the other LOVE YOU panties that I'd worn started showing signs of falling apart not long after I started wearing them made me wish that I had just returned the LOVE YOU underwear, as the set really didn't seem worth keeping, for the duration of time that I will probably be able to wear them before they become unwearable. While I did enjoy pointing out the "LOVE YOU" to my man when I did wear the LOVE YOU panties, I wish that I had found a better-quality LOVE YOU underwear set to be able to wear for him -- especially as he is very detail-oriented, and can spot imperfections easily.

While this kind of design of this style of I LOVE YOU panties is kind of cute, I don't think that they are good cotton panties for ladies, and think that you could probably find a better cotton panties pack.

 

I unfortunately couldn't find one of the panties from the LOVE YOU underwear set that I bought, that I misplaced, since I never ended up wearing it, so I can only show you five of the LOVE YOU cotton panties from the set, in this LOVE YOU panties review. Missing is the red LOVE YOU panty from the set. If I find it in the future, I may photograph it and add it to this review, to show you an example of what the panties look like brand new. The red panty looked pretty much like the advertised photo of the red LOVE YOU panty that I posted at the start of this LOVE YOU panties review.

As I mentioned, the green panty that I received didn't appear to match the shade of green of the green LOVE YOU panty displayed in the advertised images.

The label also, not surprisingly, shows that the Temu thongs are made in China, like most of the items from Temu are. We understand that there are many issues that come with buying items that are made in China, and hope to be able to afford to buy items manufactured in more sustainable and ethical ways in the future, and to be able to review such items in the future.

6-Pack Seamless Letter Ribbed Panties, Sexy Comfortable Breathable

(Note: The above description is only part of the full description, and was what I was able to copy and paste from my order of the LOVE YOU panty pack that I bought, that was discontinued. I wasn't able to access and post the complete description for it that was used by the seller, like I usually do, as it was cut off on my order form.)

Pros:

-cute design
-come in a set of six
-come with six different colors
-come with several neutral colors, and some brighter colors, for people who like to mix it up between practical and playful colors

-made of 95% cotton
-comfortable
-decent fit
-useful thong design can be worn with leggings and other tight pants and shorts, hiding panty-lines
-sexier style than granny panties
-"LOVE YOU" messaging is something sweet that you can potentially share wth your significant other
-has better messaging than some other love panty designs, which say "ILOVE YOU" without a space between the "I" and "love," and other pantry designs only saying "love"
-athletic-looking design
-breathable
-accurate size
-good elasticity ensures that they don't feel loose during higher levels of physical activity, such as running or jogging
-not too tight
-decent price when on sale

 

 

Cons:

-poor quality, cheap fabric
-develop holes, rips, and loose threads very easily

-not 100% cotton
-5% elastane/spandex, which is bad for you
-ribbed design takes away from sexiness of panties

-waistband gets warped easily
-not very feminine colors for most of the panties
-not exactly seamless, with separate sewn-on waistband
-felt a bit itchy to wear initially, but the itchiness ended up going away over time

If you’re looking for cotton thongs for women, or women's cotton panties packs, then I wouldn’t recommend going with the cotton LOVE YOU panties for women from Temu. While I recall the LOVE YOU panties reviews being good when I first looked them up, with reviewers saying that the material and look of the particular LOVE YOU panties that I bought were good, I can say from experience that this particular set of LOVE YOU underwear is very poor quality, and that the cotton panties are not likely to last long, based on all the problems they developed over time, as I wore them and washed them.

My underwear is actually hand-washed, rather than thrown in the laundry, making the fact that the LOVE YOU panties started to fall apart so soon after I started wearing them quite surprising and appalling. 

I also didn’t like the fact that these cotton Temu panties felt a bit itchy when I first started wearing them, although I no longer feel itchy when I wear them now. 

I wouldn't use this bad experience with Temu thongs to completely write off buying the cotton panties Temu sells, or even the cotton underwear Temu has for sale, because I've actually ordered and worn thongs from a different cotton thong set from Temu that have not degraded in quality the entire time I have been wearing them, and have also been wearing a cotton bra set from Temu that has also been quite nice (although I did start out feeling a little itchy when I first started wearing the cotton panties and bras that I bought from Temu).

 

For a male LOVE YOU panties reviewer perspective, I asked my man what he thought of the LOVE YOU panties I ordered, and my man told me that the only thing that he likes about this cotton LOVE YOU panties set is the "LOVE YOU" part. He also likes that the LOVE YOU panties are thongs, and not a granny panty style. He thought that the ribbing style is okay, but not great. He also thinks that the colors aren't horrible, but he doesn't love them. He says that the panties are not lingerie, but look better than some of the other everyday panties you can find. He said that if they weren't falling apart and getting holes, and didn't have the ribbing, then he could give this LOVE YOU panty set a higher mark, but would put it in the 1 to 1.5 star category, the way that the LOVE YOU panties are that we received.

Conclusion:

If you're looking for a cotton panties pack, then I probably wouldn't go with these particular cotton Temu panties. If you care about quality, and buying panties that don't start to fray and fall apart after a few wears, then you'll definitely be disappointed by the cotton thongs in this set, with two out of the six LOVE YOU panties that I received already sporting holes and ripped seams after only wearing them a few times, and handwashing them.

If you want cheap cotton panties that say "LOVE YOU" or "I LOVE YOU" on them in particular, however, these were the best design of the cotton LOVE YOU panties for women that I found on Temu, if you want the best-looking I LOVE YOU panties from Temu.
