REVIEWS: Super-Cute and Cool Cheap Couple Rings From Temu

By The Treasure-Sharer

king and queen crown couple rings taken from Temu promo adMy man and I have tried a lot of the couple ring, and couple jewelry, options on Temu. They have so many available, and we're big on symbols of our love and everlasting relationship, so we like having so many different things to physically wear, show, and express it.

If you're in a committed relationship, but are not into marriage or are not yet considering marriage, and want a sweet token to express your love for, and show others your commitment to, your partner, we've discovered some really nice couple ring options, some of which we will be reviewing here. You can see one of the couple ring sets we chose (his and her king and queen crown couple rings) in the photo to the side, taken from a Temu promo ad.

I was pretty excited when I first saw the options to buy couple rings on Temu. Some of the couple ring designs looked really nice, and I really liked the symbolism represented in the markings on the different promise rings for couples available.

My man was actually the one who first spotted some couple ring options on Temu, and sent me some of the couple ring designs that he had come across and liked.

Most of the promise rings for couples we saw initially were super-fancy and pretty, and we actually liked a lot of them, but many looked too much like engagement rings, and too fancy for everyday wear.

A lot of the couple ring options were also made of alloy, which we try to stay away from buying, since we both have sensitive skin that develops rashes after wearing low-quality metals for extended periods of time. We thus prefer to stick to stainless steel, titanium steel, and silver-plated options when buying jewelry from Temu.

This can be annoying sometimes, since some designs are not sold in any material other than alloy. If you're someone who can wear a wider range of metals, then I think it's worth you checking out the other couple ring styles available as well, to better take advantage of how many nice designs for promise rings for couples that Temu has to choose from.

The range of promise rings for couples, and wedding rings for couples, available on Temu is huge, and include couple rings with designs that are elegant, fancy, funky, funny, cool, personalized, cute, and more.

Note that my man and I bought three different personalized couple ring styles from Temu (one with my man's name and my name with an "&" sign in between them, one with an infinity sign in between our names, and one with our names woven together in a fancy design).

However, we won't post the customized couple rings that we ordered, or review them here, for anonymity's sake. I can say that the bands for the first two customizable couple rings we got were very simple but nice -- with a matte, yet shiny, dark grey color, similar to that of hematite.

While I love finding things with my name on them, and was excited by the idea of being able to make rings with both my name and my man's name together on them, I was honestly underwhelmed by how the customized couple rings turned out. I liked how the rings bore our names, but they honestly didn't look great to wear as rings, since rings with nothing but writing on them can look a bit plain.

I also hadn't realized that the engraved couple rings only came with one ring, when I thought that both of the customizable couple ring styles I had ordered would come in pairs, as a personalized couples rings set. I assumed that, because I was inputting two different names, and because there were obviously two people involved, that the customized couple rings would naturally be made two at a time, to create promise rings for both partners -- but that sadly wasn't the case, such that I only got one of each of the customized couple rings I'd had made. I ended up giving the one with the "&" in between our names to my man, and keeping the one with the infinity sign in between our names for myself, though I had intended for us to have one of each of the rings. The customized couple ring options that I ordered appear to cost double the price of most of the non-customized stainless steel couple ring options available.

For the customized couple rings with name options, I ordered both in size 7, and found that I had to wear them on my middle finger to keep them from slipping off, thus taking away from their symbolic significance, since it was hard for me to wear them on my ring finger, like I'd intended. I thus sometimes wear these personalized promise rings on my middle finger, while wearing other couple rings on my ring finger that fit better on it, at the same time.

I didn't like the third customized couple ring option that I'd had made for us, that was constructed from the letters of our first names woven together, because the letters of my man's name and my name didn't blend together well at the part where they came together, and looked funny, and Temu gave me a refund without needing to return this custom ring, since it had turned out so wonky-looking and unattractive. It's possible that this style of customizable couple rings might work better with other combinations of names, so I wouldn't rule out trying to make one with your name and your partner's name.

My man and I also bought a few of the non-personalized options for promise rings for couples that we liked the most. After weeding out the couple rings that looked like flat-out engagement rings, and the ones made of alloy and other metals that our skin is sensitive to, we ended up settling on promise rings that we could wear regularly, every day, that better suited us and our style, and held symbolic meaning to us.

Below are my reviews of the different couple rings we chose to order, with my man's comments on some of them, and our combined ratings for them.

1. 2pcs Stainless Steel Fashion Rings for Couples, Half Tear Drop Design, Rhinestone Accented Combination Band Set

half-heart couple rings taken from Temu promo ad

half heart whole together couple ringshalf heart whole together couple ringshalf hearts forming whole hearts together couple rings

Review

Pros:

-made of stainless steel
-simple yet sweet design connecting the rings to each other
-ring designs form a heart when placed together
-one ring more masculine, and one ring more feminine
-suitable for everyday wear
-very affordable
-has the sweet surprise of an "I love you" engraved into the inner bands of each ring, that isn't advertised in the product page photos, but is a very nice touch

Cons:

-some of the metal on the black ring was a bit chipped, affecting the look of the ring
-can feel a little too simple in design
-may not be recognizable as a half heart to some, and not as obvious as some couple rings
-half heart design can look like a random line on a ring, when worn on its own, without its partnering ring with or near it to show what it's meant to represent

-might not be showy enough for some couples

-might look dumb to outsiders who don't know what it's meant to represent, and thus feel a bit silly to wear, and be difficult to wear proudly

Gem or Junk?

For us:

JUNK -- 1 star and a half out of 5

My man really doesn't like his half of this half heart couple ring set, because of how silly his ring looks when worn alone, and he would go so far as to give it only one star for that reason. My man thinks that his ring just looks like it has a random black line on his silver band, and hates how plain and random it looks. He wishes that his half heart at least had rhinestones like my half heart couple ring has, to at least have something interesting to look at.

On top of that, my man's half heart couple ring ended up being a bit chipped at the part near the half heart, where it is super-notieable, adding to how bad his ring looks.

I don't much like how my half of this couple ring set looks, either, as I've always felt that it looks weird, also.

My man and I chose this design as the first couple ring set we bought because we liked how the rings could be put together to form a heart. It features two halves of a heart split between two rings, that can be placed one on top of the other to form a full heart, with one ring in silver and black, and one ring in silver and gold (with rhinestones embedded in the half heart of the gold ring, for a more feminine touch).

My king reluctantly chose the black half heart couple ring, and I got the gold half heart couple ring, since the black half heart couple ring seemed more masculine. I chose to wear my half of the set on my ring finger, with the open side facing down into my hand, when I wore it, to reflect how my heart is closed to others, and reserved only for my man.

My man and I really like the concept behind these half heart couple ring bands, but agree that the half heart couple ring designs are not so great to actually wear. When worn apart, on separate fingers, each half heart couple ring is hard to identify as a half heart.

We feel that this half heart couple ring set does not look good at all when the rings are worn separately, and that the rings really should be kept together to have their intended effect. My man thinks that the half heart couple rings would be better put on display somewhere together, or perhaps put on separate necklace chains, and worn as necklaces, instead of on our fingers.

So we like the heart-connection concept behind the rings, and love them for their symbolic meaning, but don't feel good wearing the rings out because of how strange they look when worn separately.

I do like that this half heart couple ring set came with a surprise secret hidden message engraved in each ring, that wasn't even featured in the advertisements: the word "I LOVE YOU" engraved in the inner band of each ring. I found this to be very romantic and sweet -- like a sweet message just for us to know about.

I also like that the half heart couple rings are made of stainless steel.

Because of the sweet sentiment behind the rings, and decent material for the price, I added a half star to my review of this half heart couple ring set.

We keep the rings for the meaning they hold for us, but stopped wearing them after finding and buying better standalone couple ring designs.

2. 2pcs Set King & Queen Crown Couple Stainless Steel Rings, Simple Elegant Style, Her King His Queen, for Daily & Party Wear

King and Queen crown couple rings taken from Temu promo ad

crown Her King and His Queen couple ringsblue King and His Queen couple rings

Review

Pros:

-very classy, elegant, cool, and beautiful design
-really nice metallic blue and silver colors
-fancy bumpy metallic finish on ring
-carries the "His Queen/"Her King" motif in a subtle way, without needing to display the actual words
-says "Her King" and "His Queen" on the inner bands of the ring, to reinforce the message
-made of stainless steel
-feels very durably constructed and strong, like it definitely won't break or become misshapen or dented

-great fit, that my man describes as feeling perfect on him, no matter when he wears it

-very affordable

Cons:

-some of the bumpy metallic finish can come off from not removing rings while showering and washing hands, thus making the ring appearance duller, and less brilliant
-have to buy as a set, with fixed combinations of sizes available, making it difficult to choose a set that perfectly fits you and your partner

Gem or Junk?

For us:

GEM -- 4 stars out of 5

The his/her rings spoke to us a lot, so we loved the idea of the "Her King"/"His Queen" rings available as king queen rings for couples for sale on Temu, and looked through a lot of the his queen her king couple ring designs. There were some her king his queen couple rings that had the actual words written on the bands, but we didn't think that this type of king queen ring design looked that nice. We really liked the his queen her king couple ring design option that had crowns on outside of the rings that others could see, and had "His Queen" and "Her King" written on the inside of the ring band, where we knew it was there, but it didn't take away from the classy simple design of the different crowns.

I found a her king his queen couple ring set that sold two of these rings together, rather than individually, where you could choose the sizes for the male ring and the female ring. It's actually harder to buy couple rings as a king queen ring set, because it doesn't work if the available pairings don't match both your and your partner's ring sizes. I settled for choosing a set that had the female ring size 6 and male ring size 8, and hoped that the rings would fit. Before that, I had been buying rings in size 7 for me, but finding that they were a little big. I had also been buying rings in size 7 for my man, because he had told me that that was his ring size, but the pairing I found felt like the best compromise.

When the her king his queen couple ring bands arrived, mine felt really tight, but at least I could slip it on and off. My man told me he actually liked the fit of this couple ring set the best.

This his queen her king couple ring design was super-nice, and it's my man's favorite design out of all the couple rings we bought, because it can look nice even when worn on as a standalone.

As I mentioned, these particular crown rings are tricky to buy, because it's hard to get the right pair of sizes, but if they're available in you and your partner's sizes, then they're totally worth buying, because they look super-nice, and are very good quality.

The color may not match everything, but we really like the really pretty shade of metallic blue. I've also seen the his queen her king couple ring designs available in gold and black from other sellers, though I've only seen the blue color available in the her king his queen couple ring bands set that I bought. I think that the blue color is stand-out and unique, since it's not often that you see people wearing such dazzling blue rings, let alone wearing them as king and queen crown couple rings.

The king and queen crown rings are made of stainless steel, and so won't hurt your skin. I've worn mine while washing my hands and showering, and the blue finish has not come off, and the ring hasn't rusted. However, I did notice after placing my ring beside my man's that some of the bumpy finish has come off, making the ring a bit less shiny. That's entirely my fault, since my man actually takes care to take all his rings off when he washes his hands, while I often do not. I would keep that in mind if you decide to buy these couple rings, and try to remove your crown promise rings if you're going to do activities that might get your king and queen rings wet.

For us:

I was attracted to the angel and demon couple rings more for the "His Angel" ring, than for the "Her Demon" one, because I love being my man's angel, and liked the idea of having a ring symbolizing this, but I didn't really like the wording of the other half of the set, since I don't consider or associate my man with a demon. I thus felt a bit funny about the angel demon couple ring design, and actually asked my man about, and discussed me getting, the angel demon couple ring before getting it because of this, and initially just ordered a "His Angel" one for myself, but I did eventually end up getting a "Her Demon" one for him, so that we would have the set.

For us, the angel and demon couple ring symbolism lays more in the fact that they are a set, and, anyways, I can associate the "Her Demon" with my man being a debonair bad boy, when I see him wearing it. We also like the infinity symbol containing the word "love," featured in the inner band of both of the rings in the angel demon couple ring set, conveying our everlasting love.

I like the color of the "His Angel" ring very much, and find it nice and feminine, and I like the font used to display the words "His Angel." I also like that both of the angel demon couple ring bands are made of stainless steel.

I think that the font of the "Her Demon" ring looks good, as does the matte black color of the ring.

I bought my man's ring in a size 7, and he doesn't like the fit as much as he does the crown ring.

I might have ordered a size 7 ring for myself if I had known that the size 6 ring was going to be a bit tight on my ring finger, but I think that size 6 was the only size available, because all the other sizes were sold out at the time that I was buying my ring, so I also don't think that I had a choice.

I'm thinking that I'm actually a 6 1/2 in my ring finger size, but since you can only order in full ring sizes on Temu, I can only choose between slightly small and slightly big options. In the case of these rings, I prefer to have them a bit small than having them loose and potentially falling off, which has happened to me with some of my size 7 rings.

We think that the angel demon couple ring designs better suit couples who don't mind associating the guy with a demon, but we don't mind having the rings for the other symbolism they contain.

JUNK -- 1 star

I bought a set of sun and moon couple rings that I was really excited about getting also, but they arrived dented and very unimpressive, so I returned them. I only had the photos I took to demonstrate the dents in them during the return process, but I was unfortunately unable to locate the photos I took to include with this review.

We didn't really like these rings at all, though they are stainless steel, and the sun and moon symbols hold meaning for us, and the rings are adjustable in size.

This sun and moon couple ring set felt very disappointing to receive, because I had thought that the rings would look a lot better than they did. The sun moon couple ring designs barely even looked like what they were supposed to, and were very small. I especially disliked how dented the rings were. As such, we returned the sun moon couple rings, since they didn't feel like they were worth wearing, since they didn't even look very nice or like what they were supposed to symbolize.

For us:

GEM-JUNK CUSP -- 2 stars and a half out of 5

I got my man and me some Celtic Claddagh couple rings because I like Celtic things, and because I looked up the meanings of the symbols, and they really speak to me. The website from the makers of the authentic claddagh rings describes the claddagh ring history and meaning: "With your two hands, give someone special your heart and crown it with your loyalty. Claddagh rings are a beautiful symbol of love and affection for another. This unique ring originated in the ancient village of The Claddagh in Galway, Ireland and has become famous worldwide for the sentiment that it conveys, as well as for its unique appearance." While the rings can be used as friendship rings, they have also been used as promise rings and wedding bands.

I found out through reading an article on Claddagh Ring Positions the proper way to wear the Claddagh rings if you're in a relationship. The heart is supposed to be facing inward to indicate more serious relationships.

According to the article, "Rings on the left hand traditionally denote marriage or engagement. In this case, when the ring is worn on the left ring finger with the heart facing outward, the wearer is indicating that she is engaged... Claddagh rings worn on the left hand with the heart facing inward mean that the wearer is married... A Claddagh ring worn on the right hand with the heart facing inward conveys that the wearer's heart is closed. Wear your ring in this position if you are in a relationship."

While my man and I are not married, my commitment to him is the same as if we were, so I'm glad to have discovered that I have been wearing my Claddagh ring correctly, by wearing it with the heart facing inward on my left hand.

These Claddagh promise rings sell separately, rather than as a pair, with a thinner and more elegant one for females, and a bigger, thicker one for males. I bought my man's and my rings from two different sellers, rather than as a Claddagh set, to try to get the best prices for them.

I really like the concept behind these Celtic promise rings, and my man thinks the design is interesting.

Neither of the rings fit us very well though, and the design is cute and meaningful, but isn't really our style, so we don't wear these promise rings much. Before I discovered the meanings behind the symbols, I thought that the hands around the heart looked a bit funny, and the design didn't look that great to me.

I got my ring in a size 7, and it's a bit too big and can actually fall off if I'm not careful, so I would suggest sizing down if you're not sure of your ring size. I wish I had bought my Claddagh ring in a smaller size, as I have to wear it on my middle finger so that it won't fall off, since it has flown off my ring finger before.

The poor fit, and the design that we like the meaning of, but not necessarily the look of, are why we don't have a higher rating for these rings.

Conclusion

I think that the couple rings from Temu are so well-priced that they're definitely worth giving a shot.

We won't get into it here, but diamond rings are just a sham by the jewelry industry to scam as much money as it can from people wanting to get married. See the article from Business Insider A 1947 ad campaign convinced us all that we need diamonds to get engaged, and we still believe it for a brief explanation about this.

These cheap promise rings are so much cooler, express more (with options to choose which symbols most represent you and your relationship), and are so affordable that you can buy more than one style to better match whatever you're wearing or feeling.

Temu even has a lot of matching rings for couples and wedding rings for couples available, for those looking for those kinds of couple ring options.

My man and I have a particular affinity for the her king his queen couple ring bands, but there are a lot of other designs available that might better suit you and your partner.
